Baby Blues

I knew the whole no morning sickness thing was a curse. Because, now here I am at 26 1/2 weeks and miserable. I have cramps in my feet and legs, I cannot sleep, I get the worst pains in my stomach when I eat and I think the indigestion is just here to stay.

I know its worth it, but right now I just want to poke the belly with a pin as if to let the excess air out. And my back? Wow, I just want a good popping and for the love of all things, I just want to sleep on my back!

Can we also talk about the need to get up every 5 minutes to either pee or just walk because it allows my belly to stretch and not feel so compact!

I hate to feel like a complainer, but this is the pits. At this point I would do anything to be on a beach, sand between my toes and warmth on my face and not a pregnancy woe in sight.

But, for another 3 months, I will endure the pits just to see my little girl.

  1. Awww, muffin! I'm so sorry :(! I was hoping the new pillow would help alleviate your symptoms. I'm putting a massage on the books for Feb, lady :)! I miss you and miss real life living with you :(!

  2. I remember when I was pregnant with Caleb and an anonymous commenter told me that I didn't deserve to be a mother because I was complaining about how difficult it is to carry a baby. That person had obviously never been pregnant (and was just mean and ugly in general, lol!) Growing a person inside of your own body is hard work. No doubt about it! I have been having such pain and pressure, it's been making it hard to walk and get up and down so I know how you feel. A good back popping sounds AMAZING! It will all be worth it in just a couple of months, but it's definitely not a walk in the park the whole 9 months!!! You can complain any time you want:)

  3. I'm sorry you're having a rough go of it lately girl! I hope it gets better soon! Maybe sign up for a pregnancy massage or something to help? Or enlist that hubby of yours for some good back rubs! That was part of the marriage contract (in fine print!) :)
I'd gladly be on a beach right now, too!!

  4. Pregnancy is so hard on your body and your mind! Try to stay positive, take LONG HOT Epsom salt baths with lavender and buy the Bump Nest contraption and pillow!!! It's expensive, but it was a life saver for me. I had to sleep more upright because I had horrible indigestion for 9 months.
