I now know why you take a honeymoon. Its wedding detox. Its the chance to breathe and relax after a stressful couple of weeks leading up to the big day. But for us, it was back to work and back to life.
So, for my wedding detox, I have eaten cake, eaten cookies, eaten bagels and muffins. I buried myself in work that made they day fly by! I made a checklist of things to do for baby. I signed the Mr. up for a daddy class and registered for baby basics for the two of us. I am calling daycares and registering for baby gifts this weekend. Yes, wedding is done and now for phase two!
YAY CAKE!!!! Sooooo goood!
ReplyDeleteA wedding detox is definitely something needed. Maybe y'all should just go away for a weekend in January, something small, to just be mr and mrs. Tickets to DC aren't thaaaaaaaaaat expensive ;)!
Hooray for all things baby! :)
Now you can focus on Evie's arrival and getting prepped for that.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely nice to have a honeymoon afterwards and you see why--so much going on that you want/need to recover from (all of it happy of course, but still a lot of energy put towards it).
Hopefully you guys can fit in a small honeymoon or BABY-moon!! :)
Love ya!
You definitely deserve a honeymoon or getaway before little Evie arrives! But, I am so excited that even though the wedding is over now, the baby chapter is just beginning!!! Yay!:)
ReplyDeleteOh wow...you are BUSY, BUSY, BUSY! The daycare thing is one of my biggest fears when I think about starting a family...it just gives me anxiety worrying about finding the right one (and then getting in to it!). Good luck checking things off of your to-do list....and continue eating cake while you progress through it! :)
