Well, it's Monday again. Which means another action packed week at work.... oh wait, not the whole week... I am heading up north to Philly on Tuesday to attend an awesome work-sponsored event featuring the women who is the inspiration for the show Scandal. To say I am excited is an understatement. I am elated, on cloud 9!
But back to my weekend. The fiancé and I attended a wonderful marriage conference hosted by our church and a few others in town. The conference featured Dr. Paul Tripp. This man was quite the trip... haha, see what I did there?
But honestly, it was a pleasure and honor to be in a room with 1200 people learning about a Christ-centered marriage. Dr. Tripp was funny, raw, and honest. I would recommend any of his books or seminars. We both left feeling better equipped for the next eternity together.
Saturday night we headed to a friend's house for a little impromptu cookout. It was three couples, some babies, some fur children, burgers and just a good ole time. Its wonderful to have such loving, supportive friends who truly care about you. I know I have said this a million times, but I am one blessed lady.
Sunday was a little napping, a little working and a little home decor shopping. And by napping I mean these two.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. And don't forget to come back tomorrow for our second Monthly Motivation link-up! Share your successes, new workout plans, or whatever you want!
Sounds like a wonderful weekend. I think marriage counseling is such an amazing tool and surpsied that more people don't use it. Bringing God into the marriage, before it even starts helps lay a solid foundation for the future. Three cords in one rope ;)!
ReplyDeleteJealous of your conference. I loved my Crisis Communication classes in college, and love that Scandal has brought that profession to light. Have so much fun. Stop into DC on your way home ;)! Happy Monday! xoxo
Can't wait to hear about your trip to Philly! So jealous! And loving that you and J did a conference together - doing things together like that is good for the soul! :) Yay for weekends filled with loved ones and positive things!
